HeartSine TRN-350 training defibrillator controller designed to allow remote control of the training defibrillator. It features a power off button, volume adjustment button, low battery indicator, pause button, "shock required" and "no shock required" buttons, scenario selection button, and electrode placement button.

In more detail:

  • Turning off the Trainer: You can use the remote control to turn off the HeartSine Samaritan PAD 350P Trainer. To turn off the Trainer, press the red button on the remote control.
  • Change the volume: There are four volume levels on the HeartSine Samaritan PAD 350P Trainer. The volume control buttons are located to the left of the remote's power-off button. To increase the volume, press the "+" button and to decrease it, press the "-" button.
  • Pausing the Trainer: During training, you can pause the HeartSine Samaritan PAD 350P Trainer. To pause the Trainer, press the Pause button ( ||/►). The Trainer will remain paused until you press the Pause button again, at which time it will resume playing the selected scenario.
  • Change scenario: The HeartSine Samaritan PAD 350P Trainer has six pre-programmed training scenarios. You can change scenarios by pressing the button for the corresponding scenario number on the remote control, e.g. pressing the "3" button selects scenario three. Once the scenario has been changed, the device will operate as described in the scenario description section.
  • Shock Required: by pressing the "Shock Required" button, the HeartSine Samaritan PAD 350P Trainer overrides the selected training scenario and simulates a shaky rhythm. Each subsequent analysis session will suggest administering electroshock until the Trainer is turned off or the "No Shock Required" button on the remote is pressed.
  • No Shock Required: by pressing the "No Shock Required" button, the HeartSine Samaritan PAD 350P Trainer bypasses the selected training scenario and simulates a non-shockable rhythm. Each subsequent analysis session will suggest no shock until the Trainer is turned off or the "Shock Required" button on the remote is pressed.
  • Electrode Placement: If the "Place Electrodes" button is pressed, the Trainer will play the "Place Electrodes" alerts during the analysis period of the mode. The Trainer will continue to play the "Insert Electrodes" alerts until the "Insert Electrodes" button is pressed again.
