Laser physiotherapy

Physiotherapy laser, or light amplification with stimulated emission of radiation, finds application in physiοtherapy and includes two different types of devices. A physiotherapy laser can be either low or high power. Therapeutic laser devices are used in physiotherapy to treat injuries and relieve pain caused due to soft tissue damage in the human body.

Physiotherapy laser devices are divided into two categories, those include low-level and high-level therapy laser devices. The high-level therapy laser (laser HLLT) allows the physical therapist to choose the wavelength they want to apply. On the other hand, low-level laser therapy (laser LLLT) does not allow wavelength selection, it uses specific wavelengths to relieve pain.

Laser physiotherapy is a safe, effective, and non-invasive procedure to use. Although the user feels the physiotherapy laser device touching their skin, the process is painless. The non-thermal photons of light emitted by the physical therapy laser pass through the layers of the skin. Once the light passes through the skin layers and reaches the target area the body tissue absorbs the light and initiates a series of events in the cell resulting in healing.

Laser therapy can be used to treat a wide range of conditions. Physiotherapy laser treatment is suitable for those suffering from conditions such as osteoarthritis, lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, and headaches.

In medi-shop.gr, there are available physiotherapy laser devices of high (laser HLLT) and low-level laser therapy (laser LLLT), physiotherapy laser devices with trolleys, with a choice of various wavelengths, and laser protection glasses suitable for your needs.
