P.G.A suture 2 48mm 1/2 90cm
P.G.A surgical sutures with absorbable synthetic fiber, braided and gilded. The dimensions of the needle are 48mm 2 - 1/2 of the circle. Available in sterile and individual packaging.
The surgical sutures P.G.A (Polyglycolic acid) with reverse cutting needle 48mm 2 - 1/2 of the circle, with synthetic braided thread of violet color and length 90cm. Available in violet.
Absorbable synthetic P.G.A sutures are indicated for use in soft tissue contraction and ligation, including use in ocular cases, but not for use in cardiovascular and neurological cases. Implantation of the absorbable synthetic suture causes a minimal inflammatory reaction which is followed by the development of fibrous connective tissue in its place.
The retention of the absorbable synthetic P.G.A suture after the second week is at 75% of the original, while after the end of the third week the retention is at 35% of the original. The surgical suture is substantially absorbed after 50 to 90 days.
