ECG recording papers are used to record the cardiogram (ECG) on thermal paper and are usually available in 2 forms, either folded in a z-fold or in rolls. They are designed to record, during diagnostic analyses, the physiological parameters of the human body.

The type and dimension of the thermal paper depend entirely on the model of the electrocardiograph. In particular, it is determined by the size of the printer and the number of channels that can be printed simultaneously. Most electrocardiograph papers do not contain phenol, thus ensuring maximum safety for the user.
