Haelvoet Fero Relax metal chair has been specially designed for those in need of that extra special care. This chair will allow the patient to feel exceptionally well-supported. The metal chair is equipped with a relaxed mechanism that has been specially developed for the health care sector. The Ergo-line mechanism makes sure that the backrest, seat, and leg rest simultaneously tilt into a zero-gravity position.

The zero gravity position has to do with the recline position the chair can assume. The position mimics the posture astronauts take during liftoff on space missions. Because astronauts endure intense and sudden increases in gravity while escaping the Earth's gravitational pull, it's important that they position themselves so that their bodies can deal with the increase in stress. By assuming a reclined position, astronauts distribute the stresses of takeoff across their bodies in a safe way.

Haelvoet Fero Relax metal chair is upholstered with fire retardant foam. A fire retardant is a substance that reduces the flammability of fuels or delays their combustion. The rounded seat in front stimulates fluent blood circulation. The backrest of the chair is made of an ergonomically preformed plywood shell of 12 mm. It is equipped with an adjustable and removable head/neck cushion. The leg rest is made of a plywood board of 10 mm.

The ergonomic front design of the synthetic armrests makes it easy to stand up or sit down. The armrest can be locked downwards by means of a spring lever. The chair has two solid chromium-plated axes to adjust the armrests in height in 4 different positions. In their lowest position, the armrests are on the same level as the seat. Haelvoet Fero Relax metal chair has 4 Integral S design castors Ø 125 mm on precision ball bearings. The 2 castors at the back legs have central brakes with a directional lock. All edges and corners of the chair have been rounded. It has an extending, synthetic footrest with a step safety and with an antiskid structure.

The angle between the seat and the backrest ranges from 97° (seating position) to 120° (‘zero-gravity’ position). When the relax mechanism is activated, the seat inclines to a 24-degree angle. A gas spring minimizes the necessary activation strength of the mechanism. Thanks to a lever on both sides, it is possible to lock the chair in every position. When the Haelvoet Fero Relax metal chair is put in the seat position, the leg rest is turned inwards so that you can stand up without any problem.
