Buchanan Kapitex tracheostomy protector is a three layer protector. Its core is made from hyrdrolox foam and the outer is made from breathable soft cotton. It deos not apply directly to the tracheotomy and it is designed for airway protection, to filter fine particles and allow moisture transfer. 

Buchanan tracheostomy protector is made of plastic foam covered with knitted honeycomb fabric, bound at the edges with tape, which extends for tying around the neck. Hand wash only in 30 ° C with a soft soap. Avoid dry cleaning or ironing.
