The reusable Nonin 8000Q2 ear clip sensor is designed for spot check or long-term monitoring of SpO2 from the ear lobe.
The Nonin 8000Q2 ear clip pulse oximetry sensor with technology Nonin PureLight ® and PureSAT ® signal processing (filtering uses pulses to provide accurate measurements even with low perfusion or dark skin), for immediate and reliable results. The Nonin 8000Q2 ear clip oximeter sensor is 1m and is not made of natural latex.
The Nonin 8000Q2 ear clip oximeter sensor is compatible with Nonin PalmSAT 2500, Nonin PalmSAT 2500A, Nonin 8500 Series, Nonin 7500, Nonin Avant 2120, Nonin LifeSense, Nonin PulseSense oximeters.
Instructions for use of the Nonin 8000Q2 ear clip sensor:
- Remove any jewelry from the ear before connecting the sensor
- Wash and dry the earlobe to remove makeup or heavy lotions
- Rub the earlobe vigorously for five seconds to stimulate blood flow
- Gently push the sensor to open it
- Slide into the pod, placing the transmitter and detector elements completely over the center of the earlobe
- Check the position of the sensor and the skin in the area every 6 to 8 hours
If the signal quality is low on the Nonin 8000Q2 ear clip oximeter sensor:
- Check the connection on the oximeter
- Check that the ear is warm and has good blood flow
- Use the other ear
Cleaning the Nonin 8000Q2 ear clip oximeter sensor:
- Clean the sensor between patients
- Use a soft cloth with 10% bleach / 90% water solution (home bleach <10% sodium hypochlorite)
- Do not use ammonium chloride-based cleaning fluids
- Allow became dry completely before next use
