The Optilube Active™ sterile lubricating jelly syringe is suitable for the catheterization procedure of patients and consists of lidocaine (2%) and chlorhexidine (0.05%). It is used in order for the procedure to be as painless and smooth as possible for the patient. The gel acts as a lubricant, the local anesthetic minimizes pain and its antiseptic properties reduce the risk of infection. Latex-free and hypoallergenic.

The effect of the Optilube Active™ sterile lubricating jelly syringe lasts for about 30 minutes. It is disposable and is designed to be used by one patient only. Each piece is available in a sterile package, with the gel used as a lubricant for catheters and other instruments before they are inserted into the patient's body. It also prevents pain and reduces the risk of infections.

The Optilube Active™ sterile lubricating jelly syringe is pre-filled, secured in its durable packaging, which allows a completely controlled application during the process of its use. The user has the ability to easily measure the amount of gel they want, thanks to the syringe. Also, it falls easily from the protective tray enabling gold standard Aseptic Non-Touch Technique (ANTT) when preparing a sterile field.

Its ergonomic design eliminates the risk of tissue suction or damage.

Optilube Active™ sterile lubricating jelly syringe has a CE and is a class III medical product, in accordance with Directive 93/42/EEC on medical devices.
