Atrauman Ag ointment dressings

Atrauman Ag prevents secondary dressings from sticking to wounds, provides skin care for the wound edges and is antibacterially effective when bacteria come into direct contact with the dressing.

Bacteria are destroyed when they come into direct contact with the dressing. Atrauman Ag can be combined with all secondary wound dressings (e.g. TenderWet24 active, PermaFoam, Zetuvit etc) and Sorbalgon without restriction.

 

Description

Atrauman Ag is an ointment impregnated silver containing wound contact layer. It prevents secondary dressings from sticking to wounds, provides skin care for the wound edges and is antibacterially effective when bacteria come into direct contact with the dressing.

 

Antibacterial mode of action of Atrauman Ag:

Bacteria are destroyed when they come into direct contact with the dressing. The wound exudate together with the killed bacteria and the endotoxins formed in the process are absorbed into the secondary wound dressing.

 

Atrauman Ag can be combined with all kinds of absorbent wound dressings. For example, hydroactive or gauze dressings are such dressings that are suitable for use as a secondary dressing.

 

Atrauman Ag is suitable for the complementary use in the treatment of infected wounds or wounds showing critical colonization as well as for infection prophylaxis.

Atrauman Ag

Silver-containing ointment dressings made of hydrophobic polyamide lattice tulle, with fibres coated with elemental silver, they have an antibacterial effect against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria when in direct contact with the dressing, impregnated with a neutral ointment mass without additives of vaseline or other paraffins, permeable to exudate, particularly soft and good drapable, does not stick to the wound, even effective during long-term use and they are neither sensitising nor allergising and have an antibacterial effect for at least 7 days.

 

The ointment mass contains:

Ester mixture of natural or vegetable fatty acids, bound as di- and triglycerides, Macrogol 2000.
