HEINE Beta 200S ophthalmoscope

The new HEINE Beta 200 S is the first hand held direct ophthalmoscope with a combination of patented aspherical optics and single step diopter selection from –36D to +38D for precise lens selection and a crisp, focused fundus image in all diagnostic situations.

HEINE Beta 200 S features 74 single-diopter steps for perfect focus even with high refractive error, Patented “Aspherical Optical System” (AOS) to avoid corneal and iris reflex.

A separate interference red-free filter for improved contrast when viewing retinal blood vessels, a powerful Heine XHL halogen bulb for full illumination with bright, white light. It has 7 different apertures for retinal examination of both large and small pupils.

The optics are mounted on a metal frame to ensure a lifetime of optical precision, the multi-coated, recessed eyepiece avoids stray light during the examination and it has been designed to be dustproof and maintenance-free for the life of the instrument with ergonomic rounded shape which fits the orbita comfortably and facilitates one-handed operation.
