Mirovalve automatic Foley catheter valve

The MiroValve is easily operated by opening the screw. Simply push the screw in your direction with your finger and the valve opens instantly.

The MiroValve guarantees maximum hygiene for both patients and nursing staff. To make the usage of a Foley catheter easier, Miromed has developed this modern catheter valve.

Unpacking: Hold the packaging foil on both straps and pull it apart. Pay attention to the fact that the Mirovalve valve does not fall on the ground and gets dirty.

Attachment to the catheter: Hold the Mirovalve valve so that you can see the switch. The conical attachment points to you. Strongly press the conical attachment into the funnel attachment at the catheter. The Mirovalve valve is designed to independently stick to the catheter.

Emptying the bladder: In order to empty the bladder you hold the front end of the Mirovalve valve above the toilet washbasin or above another receptacle and pull the slidegate Mirovalve valve in the direction of the catheter. After emptying your bladder, let the slidegate valve go; the valve closes automatically.

Nightly use: At night you put the conical attachment of the urine bag into the front end of the Mirovalve valve. The special elastic material causes a self-bonding. In this position the Mirovalve valve is open and the urine can drain off. Take care that the drain tube is not snapped off. In the morning hold the Mirovalve valve tight at the front end and unplug the connection of the valve to the front valve end. The Mirovalve valve closes automatically. Now you can remove the urine bag.

Cleaning of the Mirovalve valve:

• Hold the valve tight at the front end and unplug the connection of the valve to the front valve end.
• The Mirovalve valve closes automatically.
• Spray the front valve end with a medical disinfectant and let the means have an effect.
• Remove the conical attachment of the valve from the funnel attachment as seldom as possible to reduce the risk of germ colonization.
• Never spray the alcohol disinfectant solution in the eyes or on the genitals.

• It is recommended that you wear gloves when disinfecting the valve.
